I have redesigned a magazine called, "Watercolor Artist.” It was an enjoyable project which required Photoshop and InDesign skills.
I chose an article column of the magazine called, “Creatures Great and Small”, and pushed the design style of the whole magazine based on it.
Cover for the original magazine had a good design capturing watercolor work, but it was plain with
low visual interaction. I added in more visual interaction by using paint brush effects throughout the magazine. I put in brushwork styles in the overall magazine, as it is magazine for a watercolor artists. The brushwork edits were done by myself using Photoshop brush.
The articles of the magazine were designed using the paintbrush style for unity. The colors red and green were used to portray the colors of wildlife.
All parts of the magazine were designed using the paintbrush style for unity. Some articles such as “Imagined Landscape” are designed with differentiated designs to distinguish the article from the previous column.
